Hi, my name is Pam and I am the proud owner of Korats. What is a Korat? It is a breed of cat from Thailand. They are a medium-sized cat with short fur which is silver-blue, tipped with a touch of silver which makes them glisten in the sunlight. Their eyes are enormous--green and luminous, wide-set in a heart shaped head.
They have been officially declared a national treasure of Thailand and their history goes back thousands of years. I got my first Korat in 1994. His name is Anurak which means "male angel" in Thai, so I call him Gabriel.
