I can't wait to listen to my first podcast! However, I really, really want to rush down to Alderwood Mall to the Apple store and buy an iPod. I've been browsing through the LearnOutLoud podcast directory and have found several podcasts that I'm anxious to explore.
The challenge of Web 2.0 is to find and/or make time to integrate new (to me) technology into my daily life.

Kitty Postcards
Finally, I've found a new way to save money! Instead of all those trips to my local Hallmark store to buy cards, I can make my OWN to send to friends and family. (I'm a member of the Gold Crown Club, and I KNOW Hallmark will miss me). And, more importantly, I can send postcards of my cats (my beautiful Korats) to those people from all over the United States who call me wanting a Korat of their own. What a great way to connect with people in a more personal way--phone calls and snail mail!

Books and Music on Demand
Although I prefer to read a book with a cover and "real" pages to turn, I promise to give the downloadable audiobooks a chance to win me over. Perhaps I will prefer to listen to books while waiting for a dentist or doctor appointment instead of bringing a paperback in my purse, or maybe I will appreciate not having to push my cats off the pages of my books while reading in bed. I'm anxiously waiting for my email from Sno-Isle for my music to become available, and for enough TIME in my schedule to re-read Little Women.

PB Wiki for Korats
At last! I now see a real purpose for my PB Wiki account: My plan is to share information, web sites, books, magazine articles, etc. about Korats. Although the Korat is native to the Khorat province in Thailand, and they were orginally brought into the USA in the 1960's to Oregon by Jean Johnson, there are now Korats literally all over the world. They are a rare breed of cat and it would be worthwhile for those of us who are lucky enough to own one to share our knowledge of the breed and to be a support system for one another about the health and care of these special cats. This web site will require time and effort, but I can see that it will be worth it.
YouTube for Cats
Once my Korats start networking on Facebook, I'll get them to share videos on YouTube. I'm sure cats everywhere we'll want to know what's their favorite brand of cat food, what kind of toys are fun to play with, and which bed is the softest, etc. And I bet they'll want to post a video of their latest trip to the vet, too!
No Time for TV
Fancast is GREAT, but who's got time to watch more TV and movies! Life is too short to spend it keeping up with all the past and present TV programming. I do like to see an occasional movie or two, but I'd rather spend my spare time reading books, newspapers, magazines, or even cleaning out the garage!
My Facebook Experience
Okay, I've set up my Facebook account and discovered that I found some familiar names and "faces", but NO FRIENDS! I think I'll sign up my cats on Facebook and see if they have better luck finding any of their Korat friends around the world. Perhaps they'll be able to track down their long-lost relatives in Thailand!
